Singapore: Healthcare startup Doctor Anywhere snags $4.1m Series A

Singapore-based healthcare startup Doctor Anywhere has raised an S$5.6-million ($4.1 million) Series A round led by Kamet Capital Partners, it said in an announcement.

The startup will be using the funds to continue developing its products and services to help boost healthcare accessibility in the city-state. Doctor Anywhere will also be growing its team, explore new business verticals and develop more healthcare solutions.

“We are grateful for the support from our diversified strategic investors base which will no doubt broaden our network and development opportunities. Together with a strong team and sensible go-to-market strategy, we believe Doctor Anywhere is well-placed to take the reins in this relatively new but burgeoning industry,” said its founder Lim Wai Mun.

Founded in 2015 and launched in October 2017, Doctor Anywhere offers healthcare accessibility through video consultations on its mobile app. It currently covers three medical verticals – general practitioner, lactation and medical aesthetics.

Other healthcare startups in Singapore that have recently raised funding include Jireh Group’s GetDoc that raised a $1.6-million pre-Series A and inked a joint venture deal with Thailand securities and investment bank AEC Securities Public.

NDR Medical Technology had also raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from state-linked SGInnovate.
