Kamet is excited to announce the promotion of Chong Sze King (SK), Head of Portfolio Management, to the distinguished position of Equity Partner, marking a significant milestone in his career and a momentous occasion for the firm. This promotion is a testament to SK’s exceptional leadership and contribution to Kamet, and also demonstrates the firm’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding the achievements of our people.
As the Head of Portfolio Management, SK has been instrumental in shaping Kamet’s investment strategy development and portfolio allocations, earning the trust and respect of our family clients. SK led the development of Kamet’s quantitative strategy, Kamet Active Frequency (KAF), which had marked outperformance since its inception in 2022, nearly doubling the S&P500 returns over the same time period. “I had the privilege of working with SK for many years before he joined Kamet as a Portfolio Manager, and have always held high convictions in his capabilities. His dedication to the firm is deeply appreciated and we are now thrilled to welcome him as Equity Partner and further grow alongside the firm.” said Kerry Goh, CEO of Kamet. “He will continue to drive the firm’s long-term strategic vision and success. In 2024, our funds delivered outstanding performances and were ranked top-quartile by various leaderboards including Morningstar and Bloomberg.”
Before joining Kamet, SK brought over more than two decades of investment experience. His previous career milestones include being the CIO of HSBC’s insurance business in Singapore and Malaysia, as well as holding key Portfolio Manager roles at prominent hedge fund Asia Genesis Asset Management, Bank Julius Baer, Lombard Odier and ABN AMRO Asset Management (Hong Kong).
